The Greeley West Poms headed to Florida for Nationals on Wednesday.  To qualify for Nationals, the Poms placed in the top three at their summer camp. Teams from all around the country will be there competing to decide who is the best.

The Poms team will be performing two dances: a Jazz dance, and a Hip- Hop dance. There is a 2 minute and 30 second time limit for each dance.  All teams are scored on execution or movement skills synchronization and communication, also the teams are scored on choreography, creativity staging, complexity and difficulty. The last thing they are scored on is overall affect.

Sophomore Jacelyn Hays said, “I’m looking forward to making new experiences, learning more about the dance world, and showing everyone how much hard work goes into a 2-minute dance.”

The Poms will dance Saturday in preliminaries.  Finals will be held on Sunday.
