Link Crew recruits new members

Jarod Clark, Staff Writer

The Greeley West Link Crew is a club at Greeley West that anyone can apply for and join. Counselor Ms. Kelly Stephens said, “There aren’t very many requirements for Link Crew.  We accept all walks of life at West. The student just needs to love West and what West is about. These students also have to want the incoming freshman to see all of the positives at West.”

This year the link crew has about 50 applicants right now. Stephens would like to have 120 applicants so they’re still open if you’re interested in joining the group.

To be in the Link Crew, you don’t have to have a lot of commitment to the club either. The Link Crew will come in two days before the freshman orientation to get trained. There is a curriculum that you learn over these two days. Then, the Link Crew goes to freshman orientation and basically runs it. They’re assigned a small group of eight to ten people. The last thing that is expected of them is to check in with their freshmen and talk to them and help them if they need it.

If you want an application or have any further questions go to the counseling office and talk to Stephens.
