On Friday May 12th some of the baseball team volunteered at Meeker Elementary School to help out with their yearly carnival. This was the baseball team’s second straight year of volunteering and the Meeker staff has been happy to have their help.

This year there were games, concessions, and even a dunk tank for the kids to have fun with. The baseball team was stuck in the concessions serving hot dogs, burritos, popcorn, cotton candy, and nachos.

“This isn’t only a volunteer opportunity it is a chance to show the community and me what type of character kids you are and to build chemistry as a team,” said Brian Holmes to his team prior to the event on Friday.

The players that volunteered on Friday consisted of, Ryan and Aaron Rojas, Tyler Holmes, Drew Mendez, Alex Holguin, Luis Deleon, Alfredo Verdugo, Taylor Lee Berens, Collin Channell, and Connor Fagan. “Everyone was energetic and it was just good to be with the guys one last time,” said Alex Holguin.
