As the 2017-2018 school year starts, Mr. Jeff Cranson will be heading into his second year of leading the school as Principal. Cranson has to show what knows this year as he has a school of over 1800 kids, which is the largest in Greeley history.

With Cranson leading a school for the first time, he learned a lot, but the biggest thing he learned was the fact of not trying to do it all by himself. He is really going to focus on how everyone in the building canhelp him lead the students and that is how he thinks the system works the best.

Cranson really wants to focus on the communication of everyone in and involved with the school. From teachers to parents to students, commination is key. Not only does commination help, but it creates relationships.

Relationships help in multiple ways and that is the other big thing Cranson wants to focus on. With relationships everything works more smoothly. “Our staff is amazing and we have the best teachers in the building that we can have. This will help me because for everything to work, it takes all types of people,” Cranson said.

Outside of what Cranson wants to do, academically, Cranson is looking to really increase SAT scores. This will lead to more SAT prep to help kids study and do well on tests.

“As principal, I want this school to work as a customer service. The teachers and staff are the waiters and the parents and students are the customers.”
