Rescheduled conference has solid turn out

Parent teacher conferences were Wednesday night. Teachers were not expecting a big turnou, since it was originally scheduled for March 23.  The original date was cancelled by a snow day.

Although the conferences ended at 8 p.m., some teachers weren’t able to leave until later because they still had parents outside their door waiting to talk to them.

“I very much enjoy meeting the parents of the Greeley West community; it creates a greater communication with each other,” Mr. Richard Dufault expressed. “With how much our technology has changed we are able to speak to parents more often than not.”

Although this is his first year at West, Dufault has been in education for over 30 years.

Conferences give parents a chance to see how their children are doing in school. “I like going to conferences because I get to see all the teachers my daughter talks about and I get to see what teachers think of my daughter,”  Maria Arteaga  said.

Arteaga is senior Karla Ramirez’s mom.
