The 2016 annual Greeley West blood drive was last Wednesday, October 11th. The blood drive at Greeley West is always a success and many students contribute to saving lives. The student council at Greeley West and the student council advisor, Mr. Daniel Mork, made the blood drive possible.

Mr. Daniel Mork said, “essentially, the goal is to just help people who really need the blood, only one pint of blood can help save up to three lives.”

The blood drive is where you can donate a pint of blood to charity to people who are sick and are in need of blood. Donating blood can help a family member, friend, or even a random stranger. Whoever it goes to, it can save their life.

Paul Cangilla has donated the last three years and says, “I know giving my blood will save a life somewhere and that is a great feeling. It’s good to know that I can change someone’s life by simply donating a pint of blood.” Cangilla has donated three times for Greeley West and three other times outside of West.
