Senior readies car smash community service project
November 2, 2016
On November 16, senior John Blair is holding a car smash for his community service project in Mr. Rich Davis’ business class. Last week, Mary Tori, did her community service project for the same business class by making t-shirts and getting a group together to plant trees on Greeley West property.
Blair decided to do something that also interacted with students here at Greeley West. With help from Davis, Blair decided to get a car smash organized. The car smash will be held in the student parking lot. Blair decided to make it $2 for 2 hits on the car with a sledge hammer. If you want to continue hitting it, it will just be a dollar more for every hit.
The community service part of this project is Blair will then donate the money he raises to a charity that raises awareness to drinking and driving. To make this all happen, Blair plans on making an announcement for the car smashing.
“Mr. Davis made a comment about a car smashing and so I wanted to do it. I want to do the charity for drinking and driving because it’s such a big problem in today’s society,” Blair said.
