AVID sophomores takea break with cake walk
November 7, 2016
The AVID program is a very popular program at West and a lot of students are in AVID. Avid makes students work very hard and think at another level by the things they have to do. So on Halloween, the AVID sophomores took a break during class and did a cakewalk.
A cakewalk is where everyone gets into a circle and they play music (in this case, Halloween music) and when the music stops they pick a number and whoever that number is, gets a prize. This is a very fun activity for students to relax and enjoy Halloween instead of working hard like they usually do.
Ms. Lea Sanford one of the sophomore AVID teachers said, “AVID is a rigorous course that expects a lot out of students and it’s important to step back and have some fun at times.”
