At the IB night, sophomores present their MYP Personal Project that they have been working on for the past year.

Sophomore Jacelyn Hays found an interest in makeup and worked on different techniques to improve her skills. Hays practiced stage makeup by doing everyone’s makeup from the musical, The Addams Family, last Spring.

Sparking Hays’ interest in special effects makeup and moulage makeup she was asked to do everyone’s makeup at a “mass casualties” exercise for the hospital last Spring. Late this summer, Hays practiced gunshot wounds on members from City Hall as a drill for the police acting out a possible shooting.

Hays set up a business called, “Trends by Jacelyn,” where she sets up appointments with people to do their Prom and Homecoming makeup.

Hays recently did make up for two people who were competing at the 2016 NPC Max Muscle Greeley Iron Warrior show.
“I have learned several different techniques in my interest in makeup and expanded my abilities.”
