English students excited to work with Jarrell
August 29, 2017
This year at Greeley West we welcome many new teachers including Mr. Troy Jarrell. Jarrell has been teaching for three and a half years, starting in West Texas. He then moved to Colorado to teach at Prairie Heights.
Greeley West is Jarrell’s third school and so far has been a great experience. Jarrell stated, “So far this has been the best school I have been in. This is awesome. I love it.”
Not only does he love the school itself and the faculty, but he also loves working with the students in his English classes. “I like the students, the work ethic that goes on here, and the AVID program is amazing,” Jarrell said.
While teaching at Greeley West, Jarrell said the main things he wants to focus on is to build strong relationships with his students, to watch them grow, and see them walk across the stage in May.
Senior Audrey Garcia, who met Jarrell in his American Literature it class, said, “He’s really nice and he makes a point that he is trying to help us graduate instead of holding us back.”
Garcia along with her other classmates are excited for this coming year with Jarrell.
