Grow up and stop trick or treating

Brody Clark, Staff Writer

Halloween is always a very festive and enjoyable time of the year for Americans, however there are laws being made that say high school students cannot trick or treat. I would have to agree with these laws being put into place. Trick or treating is for kids and is meant to be only for kids.

Once a kid is in high school, the student needs to start to mature and get over little kid ideas. Students should still get to dress up and have fun for Halloween, but should not be able to trick or treat.

There is also a point in life when kids need to grow up, and usually that is in high school. Kids need to start realizing there is a point of when you stop receiving and start giving. Rather taking candy from little kids, give candy to the kids and see how excited the kids get. It would take Halloween to a new level.

Halloween should still be exciting for high school students and they should still be able to dress up, but they need to realize that their time of celebrating trick or treating is over.
