The Greeley West High School honors breakfast was held last Friday, October 12th in the auxiliary gym.  The school sent out invitations in homeroom to every student that attained a 3.5 GPA in both semesters of the 2017-2018 school year.

The Theme of this breakfast was “Candyland”.  There were a total of 151 students that attended this breakfast.  The students and their parents were provided with breakfast burritos, food donated by parents, and 300 donuts donated by Red’s Dogs and Donuts.

Office manager Ms. Sasha Cohoon was asked about the honors breakfast and she stated, “I have been helping for five years and enjoy making this happen every year.”

“I really enjoy it and hope to make it and can’t wait for next year,” junior Tristin Elder said. “It took a lot of motivation and commitment in my classes to be able be invited to this breakfast.”

There was a contest set up by the office that allowed students to guess how many jelly beans there were in a jar and if they guessed right or close enough, they won the entire jar.  There was a good attendance of students and parents this year, and the school hopes to have the same turnout next year.
