Greeley West High School announced it will be serving Chick-fil-A to students for lunch on Wednesdays.

Earlier this year, a survey was sent out to students about their lunch experiences and food quality. Little did they know one of the questions that appeared, “What is your go-to lunch food choice outside of school ?” would bring such joy to chicken lovers.

Other options on the survey included Blackjack Pizza, McDonald’s and Subway.

Survey results shows that more than 85% of students chose Chick-fil-A. “I chose Chick-fil-A because it’s close and fulfills my tummy,” senior Mateo Vasquez said. “I might just not graduate to have that experience next year.”

Chick-fil-A sandwiches will come prewrapped in their foil to stay heated throughout the lunch period.  Both spicy and regular sandwiches will be available.  Chicken nuggets may be added later in next year.

Now that Greeley West has modernized so is their lunch choices. Chick-fil-A will start to be served to students starting in August.

“The students have been through so much and it would be nice to reward them with something cool,” assistant principal Ms. Amy Zulauf stated.
