Greeley West volleyball plays away tonight in Lafayette to face Centaurus High School. They currently have a record of 4-2 with a 3-win streak.
Greeley West, currently 6-4, has a strong mindset going into their next game and is determined to come out strong to hopefully come back home with a win.
Middle hitter Itzy Guidry shares what they have been working on in practice to apply to the next game against Centaurus. “We have been focusing on our offense, so practicing our hitting and practicing on connecting with our setter. Also moving the ball at a faster pace,” Guidry said.
Team captain Chelsie Roberts the setter for West gave some insight on what their mindset coming from their loss to Longmont and what they are going to work to improve going into the next game.
“The loss definitely made us want to work harder because we were coming from a winning streak and it was sad to lose to a team that we could beat going into our next game we are gonna just really try to work together to improve and communicate on the court,” Roberts said.
Davenee McKinney also a middle hitter is determined to play hard against Centaurus and spoke on what she thinks the outcome is going to be. “I’m hoping that we dominate with a 3-0 win and I’m positive were gonna win no matter what,” McKinney said.
