FFA is ending this spirit week with a tailgate meal for the West vs. Central football game tonight at the District 6 Stadium. They are offering a hot dog or hamburger for $5 and selling drinks for $1 each. The tailgate starts at 6 p.m.
FFA Officer Têa Hayden said, “This week being West v. Central week, our school is demonstrating their school spirit and how involved and dedicated our students truly are. Before the football game, FFA is serving burgers and hotdogs to give students a chance to participate in community service and educate people curious enough to ask where their food comes from or what exactly FFA is.”
FFA is also hosting a fundraiser called Cow Pie Bingo. Individuals purchase squares and if the cow does it’s business on your square, you win money back. “Families, students, teachers, and community members have the chance to participate in fun Cow Pie Bingo where for 10 dollars a square people can take a chance on winning the jackpot,” Hayden added.
The interactive raffle will be happening during the halftime show of the football game.
FFA Chapter President Aidan Datteri said, “The event is run by an Alumni council or AG ED Council. They will be taking their own property out to the stadium and sharing with Greeley the food was donated to the Alumni.”
Datteri shared his emotions and thoughts about how he feels as a leader about his preparedness “I feel like we are ready. It is being mostly run by the alumni, but we are going to be working hand and hand together to do the events tonight.”
