Greeley West’s business class soft-launched its Spartans Coffee Shop Monday afternoon during parent-teacher conferences. The class is hoping the moniker SCS helps sell the brand.
The class has been working hard to bring this idea to real life. The class plans to bring the coffee shop to the Greeley West students after the soft launch.
Junior Jovan Guidry, one of the business class students was able to work the shop launch. “The experience was amazing. The idea of the coffee shop was just amazing. We sell the cups of coffee for $2, the customers can customize their coffee, and we get money for our business program,” Guidry stated. “We plan to open the shop daily. Before school, during lunch, and after school. I’m just excited to keep doing it.”
The shop opening was a huge hit. Junior Rico Martinez enjoyed working the stand. “There was a decent amount of customers. The experience was exhilarating. The 5 of us working in the shop learned how to work together amazingly. We really learned how to work as a team.” Martinez said. “Our shop is different than any other shop. We even have a delivery service for our teachers. We definitely have the best coffee shop.”
Not only does the shop allow our students to get a hot tasty beverage during these next cold months, but the students also get a firsthand experience of how a business runs.
Prey Reh, a SCS employee also helped run the shop. “ The experience was very fun. I really enjoyed the class and I was glad to see how a business runs. I hope for more success in the future for our shop.,” Reh stated.
