Greeley West Student Council kicked off Kindness Week with motivational chalk on the sidewalk in front of the school.
The rest of the week the student council has arranged a series of activities and themes. Tuesday was a kindness tree. Wednesday will be painted kindness rocks. Thursday is kindness clips and Friday is formalwear to prepare for Prom.
Student Council students believe that Kindness Week is an important week to improve the school’s community. “Kindness Week is a way to spread more kindness in our school and improve our school community with different activities and days,” Student Council student Camden Cooney shared.
The student council also believes it’s important to celebrate kindness. “People need to realize that being kind is cool. Being kind to someone is free and needs to be a school norm,” sophomore Hailey Ratliff explained.
Being kind is not hard and should be practiced by all Greeley West students. “I hope people feel appreciated and realize that being kind isn’t some big task and something that everyone should implement in their everyday life,” freshman Hanifa Adams shared.
