Greeley West Agriculture Science teacher, Ms. Alexadra Grimes will be spreading Spartan Pride beyond the walls of the school after being selected as a FFA National Teacher Ambassador and National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador for the National Association of Agricultural Educators.
Since Grimes was selected, she will be given the opportunity to work with other educators who want to better themselves. There will be teachers from all over since it is a national organization, that have different experiences and it is an amazing way for teachers to learn from each other.
This program will take place during this summer. Grimes will be working and training in two different programs, working closely with National FFA staff as well as vendors, in hopes of enhancing West’s FFA team and Ag program more. This is great for these educators to step outside of their comfort zone and work together to better the nation’s FFA program.
Everyone who gets an amazing opportunity had to work hard for it and everyone’s story is different, and they have different advice to give. Grimes said, “ I do think it is important for everyone to remember that it can pay off in taking chances even if you don’t think that you will will get the opportunity in the end.”
