With the last week for seniors and finals happening this week, some students have waited until the last minute to change and save their grades. Some seniors waited until the last minute to pass a class that they needed to graduate. Lots of stress has piled up onto these students’ shoulders while they try to pass their last class.
Senior Christian Duffield waited until the last minute to fix his grade and now he’s stressed. “I know I waited a while and it never really stressed me out until this last week,” Duffield explained. “I know it’s a bad thing, but I think it’s a lot of procrastinating and not wanting to go to classes I didn’t need to graduate.”
Waiting this long usually means that students tend to spend the last week staying up late and doing assignments to pass the class and usually leads to needing their final to pass.
Duffield has hope, however. “I spent the past few nights staying up late and doing assignments I need to pass. I think the last two nights I’ve gone to bed at 4 a.m. and barely got any sleep.”
“The way I’m going to study for the final is by turning in all my past assignments I didn’t do so I can catch up and also learn the material.”
Duffield said it would be wise for underclassment not to wait as long and provided advice. “Just don’t procrastinate as long as I did and don’t wait until last minute. I think it’s been been stressful to be trying to catch up but I know I’ll be able to pull off this academic comeback.”
