Sophomore golfer Grace Gerbers qualified for state this year and is wrapping up her season today. Gerbers has made tremendous achievements this season. She is a second-year regional finalist and the second-ranked player in the Conference.

Gerbers has made great progress this season and wasexcited to play her best during the state tournament. “I started in a rough patch at the beginning of the year. I practiced a lot and made a lot of progress and started playing significantly better than I have been,” Gerbers explained.
Golf coach Mr. Alexander Johnson is excited to see Gerbers play at state. “She’s been having a really good season. Her qualifying for state is both exciting and nerve-racking. She has been doing really well and has been very successful this season so far. I’m really excited to see how she does,” Johnson stated.
Gerbers is passionate about the sports she plays and loves the challenge she gets to experience each time. “I love the mental challenge. It’s really hard to stay postive througout the game. Golf teaches me many skills for on and off the field,” she explained.
It’s not only her wins that inspires Gerbers to do her very best. “I played a lot of sports before and my Dad is the one who really inspired me to join golf, and now I really love it,” she shared.
