For the past 3 years, Sophia Dhupar has been chasing the title of Valedictorian. She has consistently earned the highest GPA each year of her high school career.
Dhupar’s journey to the top of her class has been full of determination and focus. “Wanting to prove to myself that I can be Valedictorian is a big part of things,” said Dhupar.
Working from freshman year to now, she has been extremely dedicated. “I know it’s not actually determined yet so I still have to work hard this year.”
With no signs of slowing down, she also mentioned her parents being a big motivation for her. “They’ve always encouraged me to do my best.”
Dhupar said that her study routine is to start with the hardest part first, but then she does what she wants to do. “I try not to think about it too much,” Dhupar said.
Balancing a impressive academic resume with a life outside of school can be challenging. Dhupar plays tennis here at Greeley West and uses it as an outlet outside of her schoolwork. “I do tennis right after school so I know that I can enjoy that hour and a half, but afterwords I know that it’s time to study and the time to get school work done.”
After high school, she plans to attend college to study engineering. “This whole thing will solidify the belief in myself and encourages me to work hard in college.”
