On September 12th, Ms. Corrine Calhoun Ms. Susan Eastin held a parent/student meeting releasing the details of the 2026 trip including England and Scotland. They also shared an itinerary of what students going on the trip should expect.
The itinerary includes visiting the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, the National Bagpipe center, and a cruise on Loch Ness. As of right now, dates are not set in stone. However, students should be expected to leave between June 12 and June 15 of 2026 and return between June 27 and June 30.
Price also varies from trip to trip. ¨Ms. Eastin and I offer a trip every year and we always do way far in advance so monthly payment are reasonable. This year’s Mediterranean trip was 217 dollars a month for students over the school year, but all dues can be paid up to 20 months in advance,” said Calhoun.
As the trips get closer the official price a student should pay will be released.
As for the experience, former Spartans say their travels abroad have been worth the time, planning and money. Junior Evan Bowers, who attended a trip to Ecuador said, ¨It was really fun, I liked everybody I went with as they were pretty much all people from my grade that I already knew. We were also busy every single day, there was always something planned for us and it was all every organized.¨
For junior Reymundo Ocampo-Flores, the experience wasn’t so much about the trip, but having the experience of being in a foreign country with friends, and just being yourself. ¨Last year’s Ecuador trip was my first with Ms.Calhoun and Ms.Eastin, but I’ve traveled all around the world with my family. I feel being with friends and not with my family is what made the Ecuador trip so fun and different for me. I got to be myself and say immature things I just wouldn’t say in front of my family. Being alongside my peers meant this trip was just a whole different experience than a typical family trip,¨ Ocampo-Flores said.
Students interested in the trip should see Eastin and Calhoun to get the details.
