Senior Nevaeh White is a captain for the Unified Sports team and a friend to all.  White has thrived throughout high school and is a three-sport athlete while being on honor roll.

While her life hasn’t been easy, she’s found herself putting smiles on others faces and lighting up the room. Ms. Julie Valdez is someone who’s grown really close to White throughout her time at West as she is a special education assistant at the school. “Nevaeh is a very friendly, hardworking, and brave individual. She’s had to overcome a lot in her life and she’s done it with a smile,” Valdez stated. 

White is a pretty involved individual who’s prone to being outgoing and friendly with everyone else around the school. “She makes everyone happy. She knows everyone in the school and everyone knows her; everyone is her friend. She works very hard in school while being in bowling, basketball, and track since her sophomore year and also being on honor roll,” Valdez said. 

White even got to speak in front of the school body on Friday’s Homecoming assembly and was recognized with one of the loudest cheers from the student body.

White has found herself loving her horticulture class; she wishes to help her grandpa after high school on his farm. “I’m going to help Peepaw on his farm, and live with my grandparents,” White stated.  

Senior Jeremy Piacenza has been friends with White since elementary school, going through high school with her has been some of his best memories. “Working with Nevaeh has been something I’ve always loved about high school. Getting to work with her during bowling as well as going to dances with her have always been some of my favorite memories. I truly want her in my life forever,” Piacenza stated. 

He feels as though she is a Spartan through and through as she is involved all around. “She is involved a lot when it comes to school spirit, sports and after school activities. She makes sure to show up for the school and do her part every day,” Piacenza said.
