5 – Lakers
Lebron James, with the greatest player of all time, you can’t ever really count this team out of the running. We’re sure that new addition Bronny James (his son) is just as good as him.
4 – Knicks
The Knicks were doing everything this off season. They got rid of their Villanova big three by trading Donte DiVincenzo away for the Big Purr. With a center that can actually score this season looks good for the Knicks.
3 – Nuggets
The Nuggets made one move this offseason and it was Russell Westbrook. He’s supposed to be an energy off the bench guy, and nobody really expects any more of him. Jamal Murray needs to stop playing like he did during the Olympics, and we can’t remember the last time MPJ did something. But they have the best player in the world right now so they could win another ‘ship.
2 – Celtics
Will the Celtics double up this year? Everyone knows they had the easiest route to the championship last year which is why they’re not number one. With Jayson Tatum’s new still broke jumper and with Jaylen Brown still the same after the worst Dunk Contest ever they can’t be No. 1. The saving grace of that team is Derrick White stepping up and filling Jayson Tatum’s shoes by not stealing everyone one of his celebrations.
1 – TimberWolves
Anthony Edwards is the future of basketball. He’s inevitable and he’s going to win a ‘ship in the next few years. The Knicks may have gotten Karl Anthony Towns but the Wolves got Jaiden McDaniels. And they got Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert air balling dunks. Naz Reid is definitely getting meaningful minutes this year at the least after he was actually playing defense during the playoffs last year.
