On October 16, Greeley West helped seniors take steps to pursue higher education. The ‘Free College Application Day’ boasted ambassadors from several universities such as Colorado State as well as several military branches.
The previous day, slips were sent to students containing information, and available times to receive aid with applications. Then students were able to leave from the class at their specified time to head down to the donut.
While gathered in the upstairs lobby, senior students received help with college applications, essay writing, financial aid, scholarship information, and senior jumpstart registration.
The military personnel present were able to provide students with information for those interested in joining the service. Controllers to drones were showcased showing one of the many opportunities they would encounter in the military. Many students are eager to pursue this after graduation.
Greeley West is attempting to have students further their education whether it’s through a university, community college, or a trade program.
