Osiris Padilla is the name of the standout junior lighting up the field at Greeley West High School, where his incredible skills and passion make him a star on the varsity soccer team.
Being known for his speed, sharp skills, and unmatched dedication, Padilla the rising star is setting himself up for a bright future in the soccer world. Since he first laced up his cleats at 5 years old, inspired by his dad who loves soccer, Padilla has grown from a kid kicking a ball around to one of Greeley West’s most important players.
For Padilla, this season, he has scored more goals than ever, a personal milestone that he’s proud to celebrate. “I haven’t scored this many goals ever in my high school career, and it feels really good now that I’m scoring a lot of goals now. I’ve scored more goals this season than in my entire life,” Padilla said.
Even though Padilla claims he “faces no challenges,” having extra practice sessions, sometimes even at midnight, speaks to his dedication. WIth a strong work ethic, Padilla manages to balance academics and athletics easily, keeping all of his focus on and off the field.
Looking at the future, he plans to keep scoring more goals at Greeley West and aims for a college soccer career, possibly even going pro. His coach and teammates value Padilla’s dedication and contribution, praising all of the positive energy and skills that he brings to every game and practice.”I’m just getting started,” he said. “West is only the beginning for me.”
