Greeley West senior Abraham Ibarra is turning two high school passions into a business dream. With plans to launch a detailing service and barbershop right after high school, he’s ready to make an impact on both the barbering and car detailing industries.
He discovered his love for detailing cars and barbering about two years ago, which he pursued by teaching himself through online tutorials on Youtube.“The money’s nice, but cutting hair and cleaning cars just interests me,” Ibarra said.
Balancing school, early morning workouts, a part time job, and two hobbies, he manages to still make it work for both haircuts and detailing with an organized schedule. He claims to be very busy in the summer with car detailing. However, in the winter, he shifts his focus to barbering, where he says the stories clients share are half the fun.
Despite the lack of sleep and it being a struggle to find time for both hobbies, he stays determined by his long term goals. “I push myself now to secure my future,” he said. His high school journey, combined with self discipline, has given him the skills that he plans to use in his own businesses.
