Last week, on February 13 and 14, the Greeley West Pegasus Choir went around the school and their community spreading love and joy with singing valentines.
Community members, students, and staff had the option of sending a $10 singing valentine to someone in the school or a $35 singing valentine, chocolates, and a rose to anyone in the Greeley community. Along with that, they could choose from the songs, “My Girl” “Stupid Cupid” “Build Me Up Buttercup” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”
Jessica Rogakis purchased one for her daughter, freshman Paisley to celebrate and embarrass her. “I think it is something she will remember,” Rogakis mentioned. Although it was her first year buying one, it doesn’t seem to be her last. “It was a great value and a lot of fun!”
Senior Justin Kessinger-Soto broke out of the norm and bought one for himself. It was a spur of the moment thing and he picked the only song he had never heard before. Kessinger-Soto said he bought it thinking he would “get some clout with the shotties…”
For some choral members it was their first time getting to take part in this Greeley West tradition, but many of the singers have gotten this experience before. This year was sophomore Samual Patricks’ second time spending his valentines day spreading love, embarrassing students, and disrupting classes. “It’s a good way to make people happy and even if you don’t want to do that you can embarrass somebody,” said Patrick
