On March 11, the Success Foundation put on their annual breakfast hosted at Northridge High School and the Greeley West catering club provided all of the food.
The annual breakfast hosts over 400 community members including elected officials, CEO’s, business owners, and other community leaders.
Junior Shing Om was one of the catering club volunteers this year. This is his first year in the club and he joined to learn how to cook to help out his mom. “I volunteered because…why not,” said Om.
In preparation for the event, Om and the other club members received recipes from their teacher and worked hard to make each food item as tasty as it could be.
Secondary director of curriculum instruction assessment Daegan Andrews is a consistent attendee and a big supporter of what the Success Foundation has done for the community and the students. He had an incredible experience with the food that Greeley West provided. “The food was amazing. I always look forward to it,” Andrews mentioned.
Andrews appreciated the mix of flavors that the club brought in, referencing the eggs and potatoes. Andrews said, “It’s just a great way to start my day.”
Om had a fun time serving his club’s food to such a big crowd. “Aside from waking up early I would definitely do it again,” Om said.
