Yearbooks arrive
May 23, 2016
While most of the student body and excited about having an early release schedule this past Friday, a few from the yearbook class scrambled around almost all day to make the yearbook distribution as simple a process as possible. The yearbook took from the very first day of school until April 19th to put together, and the staff rarely had a day off to relax in class.
Distribution of the yearbooks was part of the class’ final assessment and the students were in charge of most of it. Luckily, the process only takes about 30 minutes, but that 30 minutes might be the hardest part of the year.
Many students are a little careless when it came to the important cards they must have to receive their books, so trying to stay organized with the 300 people who bought books was a bit of a challenge.
About 50 yearbooks still need to pick up their pre-ordered book before the end of the school year. The office will work on distributing those books, according to a source.
Kids who were already signing books thought the book was nicely done.
Senior Preston Marion was one that was pretty impressed with the layout and design of the book this year. “The cover is really cool this year, it’s very different from what I’ve seen in the past, but it’s still sweet!”
Yearbooks are still available to purchase. The price is $65 and they can be purchased in the main office with Ms. Teresa Cox.
Next year, the staff is hoping to even improve the distribution process even more than they did this year to make sure so it is easier for the staff as a whole.
