IB Theater students impressed by fake circus

On Wednesday February 22nd 40 IB theater students went on an all-day field trip to the Buell Theater in Denver to watch a play performed by Adrienne Rose. The play was based on a circus in 1903 and it was basically a circus performance. It was supposed to be a relaxing, entertaining break for the IB students to enjoy a performance and spend time with fellow classmates in Denver.

The play was put on by illusionists and puppeteers from War Horse.  The result was a staged circus featuring life-sized animals brought to life.  There was also a cast of circus actors who performed uniwe and dangerous acts.  The show featured strong men, contortionists, acrobats, and musicians.  Students were most impressed with the high-wire act.

Sophomore Haylie Juhl went on the field trip and was asked about her experience. “I would recommend everyone to go see this production. It was really fun and entertaining. The ring master kept brining people up from the audience and it was really funny and the different fake animals made the play very realistic as well,” Juhl said.
