Gorsline honored by District 6

School District 6 finds a way to acknowledge students doing very well in school. Once a week there is a District 6 Student Spotlight that is published online.

The students are highly motivated, friendly, committed, solid students, and outstanding citizens in the community to get elected. The principal of the school elects a student and then they’re picked.

Katie Gorsline, an IB student at Greeley West High School, was selected this week by the district. She explained the process to me. First, they give the nominees a slip to fill out with all of their interests on it. Then, they turn that in and wait. The district elects the student and Gorsline was elected this week. She expressed,” It felt really good to be elected. I am very proud of this achievement.”

Gorsline is a very involved student at Greeley West. She is an IB student, acts in all of the plays, is in student council, FCA, Interact Club, Key Club, NHS, Choir, and has a 4.203 GPA which is leading her class. She is one of the most involved students at Greeley West and is very good at everything she does.

Principal Jeff Cranson nominated Gorsline for the award.
