Former AVID and business teacher Mark Jarnot visited Greeley West last Friday, October 12. Jarnot moved from Colorado to New Mexico after last year’s school year. He taught AVID  for three years and business for four. He also taught AP Economics during his time at Greeley West.

Jarnot returned because he always likes to see the students and the friends that he made within the faculty and  staff.

Junior Maria Geesman showed some excitement in the returning of Jarnot. “Jarnot was always a great mentor to me and showed me the qualities that a good student needs to possess and the significance that school has in your life. He is just a great guy to be around and has revealed a lot of wisdom to me,” Geesaman said.

Jarnot is now helping on an Alpaca farm in New Mexico as he enjoys his time of “just bumming it “as he called it. He would like to travel around with his wife after saving money, they intend in traveling overseas and enjoying each other’s company. Jarnot said they even had small thoughts in starting up a business.
