The Greeley west boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Regional meet last Thursday.

This was the final meet of the regular season for the teams. The Spartans were coming in hot after consecutive wins in the yearly Greeley meet. The Spartans were looking to place high enough to qualify for the state meet Thursday, but unfortunately neither team qualified.

When asked how he felt about the Spartans performance, veteran coach, Mr. Rich Davis stated, “We fought a good fight; they ran their hearts out and that makes me prouder as a couch than any accolade can.”

The Spartans didn’t have the outcome they were looking for but they are happy with how their season went as a whole.
