The Greeley West concession stand for fall and winter sports will be reopening in time for the start of basketball and wrestling seasons.

During volleyball season, the concessions stand had been in the gym at a table instead of being upstairs where it usually is.  The reason for the temporary location had been a mouse problem.  It seems as if the food left over from last year attracted a group of mice who took up shop in the stand.

Athletic Director Mr. Ken Denning said, “We shut the concessions down to get rid of the mice problem, clean the stove, and we fixed all the walls. We are planning on it being open for the winter season.”

Repairs were made by the custodians on the day Greeley West students celebrated Fall Break, October 14.  Student Council and other clubs who use the concessions to make money are excited to have their old location back.

“It was a challenge because we had to run up the stairs to get the merchandise, but it was fun because we got to watch the game more being close by,” junior Arturo Hernandez said.

“Being upstairs makes it easier since I’ll have everything by my side,” Hernandez said.
