Stars come to life at astronomy night

Garrett Fink, Staff Writer

On November 7, all the astronomy classes went to Poudre Learning Center for an Astronomy Night where they looked through telescopes to see the stars, galaxies, nebula, and possibly see planets.

The event is held by Mr. Tony Scott, a science teacher at Greeley West, monthly.

This is a great way for students to learn outside of school and in a very fun and creative way. It builds up relationships with students. Many students enjoyed astronomy night including Britanny Ashley a senior.

“ It was really cool looking close up to the moon and seeing the craters on it, and seeing all the stars and galaxies,” Ashley said.
Scott said, “This allows our students to learn outside of school and see galaxies, stars, and planets if they are out that night.”
