Three West students qualify for All-State Choir

Cassie Bradshaw, Katie Gorsline and Tyler Maas were the three Greeley West choir students to make the All-State choir this past week. This is an amazing opportunity for these students as only a few of the students who auditioned will make it each year.

Maas explained, “It was so nerve-wracking and knowing I made it is just really awesome. It’s a really neat thing because it’s the cream of the crop in the whole state of Colorado and getting to be a part of that is just so exciting.”

Being in the All-State choir is big for these students and can allow for scholarships and help with any future plans in the musical community. Maas has many future plans in music. “I plan on going into music education and there is an audition as well as a letter or recommendation. Having this on my resume will help tremendously,” Mass said.

As these students continue on in the All-State choir they are representing Greeley West’s choir department as a whole, and will likely use what they learn to help further the experience they have in West’s choir as well.

Maas stated, “I would just like to give a shout-out to all those who auditioned. Each one of them did a fabulous job and put in so much time and energy. I’m so proud of my choir family!”
