New schedule change process hopefully helps save time

This year the school decided to make the schedule changes during the Homeroom class and it worked out pretty well. The teacher gave the students their new schedule and if the student didn’t like anything they simply wrote what they want to change at the bottom of the page. It took just a couple minutes to do so and it was very simple.

The teacher also had a slide show to show all of the classes you need which was also really nice to have. Most of the core classes had to remain the same but the electives can change so there was a long list of all of them in the slide show.

This was a very good idea to do because it saved students a lot of time instead of having to figure out a time in the day to meet up with their counselors. Meeting with counselors can be rough because they are always busy, it’s hard for finding time for yourself, and it can take a long time to figure the schedule out once you’re with them. Instead, we simply wrote it on a page and the changes will be made.

Not only does these help students but it is saving the counselors many hours but not having to meet with every single student. The counselor gets a page, reads the comment, and then makes the change.
