Snowflake tradition brings joy

This week has been the start of the annual snowflake hunt. Student Council makes and puts up snowflakes with everyone’s names on them for students to find. Doing so allows for a mindless and fun hunt for your own snowflake around a very stressful time. Finals and the holiday season in general can put a lot of pressure on students to perform well at a time that they may not have the motivation to do so.

Most people do not end up keeping theirs but some like to tape them to their lockers or just leave them where they were found. The fun is in knowing that you are noticed as a part of our student body and that you’re not overlooked in our largely populated school.

Sending snapchats and telling people that you’ve seen theirs makes people get involved as well, because chances are if someone tells you they saw yours down a certain hall, you’re more likely to go see if you can find it.

As hard as it might be to find your own, this fun and exciting tradition in our school is always something to look forward to, so be on the lookout for your name up on the wall!
