Snowflakes everywhere

Snowflakes have taken over the halls of Greeley West. Every December the student council creates paper snowflakes with the names of every single student and teacher in West. The objective for every student and teacher is to find their personal snowflake.

This has become a traditional event that the student council puts on every year. It takes a lot of time and effort from the students that are involved in student council.

The students starting making these snowflakes mid-October. On Monday, December 5, the students in student council started taping the snowflakes on the walls. The student council group spent two hours on the free day taping up around 1,600 snowflakes.

Although spending two hours taping up snowflakes sounds horrible, the student council seems to have a fun time doing this.

Junior Oscar Flores stated, “I always have had a great time taping up the snowflakes.” Flores has been in the student council for the past three years.

The snowflakes always seem to bring joy to students as well as teachers. Ms. Marleen Rich said, “For the past three years I have found every single one of my snowflakes and this year I plan on finding my fourth.”
