‘Mary Poppins’ cast readies for March opening

The theatre program is known for their outstanding play productions. The new musical set to start being shown the first and second weekends of March is the story of Mary Poppins.

The theatre program has been preparing for this Musical all the way back to the beginning of the new year. Ms. Peggy Freemole and her students have been practicing every day after school.

The musical is full of amazing West students who are involved in our West community.

The main character in the musical, Mary Poppins, will be played by Celeste Roller. This will be Roller’s third time being a lead in a West play. Roller Stated, “I’m excited because this lead role has a little more pressure to memorize all the dance numbers and songs. This letting me get better at what I do.”

Jackson Starkey is in the supporting role of Bert. Also the Poms team is doing all of the dance numbers. Junior Pom Gianna Cuttica stated, “The dance numbers in the musical are extremely complicated which will be fun to watch.”

The cost to get in to musical will be 10 dollars. The musical will be 2 hours long.
