Students find ways to celebrate their teachers

Garrett Fink, Staff Writer

Every year there is teacher appreciation week here at Greeley West. For teachers this a big week: they get to get recognized for all their hard work they have put into the school year. Some things students have been doing for teachers is the new GDUB café has been giving teachers free coffee. Each player for the baseball team gave their jersey to their favorite teacher to wear.

Sophomore Trey Flores gave his jersey to Mr. Ryan Pace. Flores gave his jersey to him because he feels that Mr. Pace is respectful, a good teacher, and an all-around chill dude.

Mr. Chuck Wolfe said that the administration gave all the teachers a bag of dirt with seeds in it, showing their appreciation for all the hard work they have been putting in this school year. It is a symbol showing that teachers are helping their students grow.

Teachers are also given coupons from local businesses that they can use for discounts. Wolfe talked about that saying, “It would mean more if it came from students than a corporation.”
