On Friday, May 12, Heiman Elementary school had their field day. The Greeley West High School football team decided to help out with their field day. The team all got to miss school for a full day to be over at the elementary school helping out. Coach

Jason Renouf also gave the team jerseys to wear to the field day to show they’re players on the team.

When they got to Heiman, each player got assigned a station. They would explain the activity to the kids as they came to their station and helped out with that game. They repeated this process until lunch.

At lunch the team played a football game with the elementary kids on their lunch break. After lunch, the football players all got assigned a new station and they explained these new stations as the kids went around.

After the field day was over the football players had a water balloon fight and then helped clean up until 4:15.

Sophomore football player Joey Piacenza stated,” It was fun and a great way to interact with the kids and each other. I could tell the kids had a great time and so did all of the players. All in all, it was a good day and I’m glad I went.”
