Mrs. Hannah Webster is the new choral teacher at Greeley West. She grew up in Colorado Springs, and went to school at CSU Fort Collins to become a music teacher. She moved to Greeley for an elementary teaching job, and just fell in love with the place. While she spent eight years in elementary music education, she said that high school has always been her passion. With the opening of Ms. Paige Lewkow’s position and her love to teach music, the opportunity was just too good to pass up. “The stars just aligned,” she said. “I feel very blessed to be here.”

Webster knows just how hard it was to get such a good choir program into place, and she wants to build on the foundation that was left behind. Her goals include recruitment to build up the student count in the classes. She would also like to really expand on her jazz choir and potentially collaborate with the jazz band.

Many of her students seem to like her, and the remaining music staff are happy that she is here. “She’s very energetic. It’s a fun class,” said freshman Yovani Vega.
