Golf team improves as they get more experience

The Greeley West golf team has had it rough in their 2017 season.

The Spartans didn’t have enough kids try out for the team this year, and they are learning on the fly as many have never golfed before.

Junior Connor Fagan and senior Taylor Berens are the only varsity Greeley West golfers. Sage Purdy and Cameron Simpkins also play golf for Greeley West but they are on the JV.

The Spartans also have David King and Ben Schissler who go to Platte valley and Nathan Kenigsberg, a home-schooled kid who all golf varsity.

Fagan has been leading the team averaging a score of 83. West’s next highest scorer is Kenigsberg, averaging gout to a score of 91.
