This year, Homecoming weekend came on a short week where students don’t have school on Friday.  It appears that decision has pleased the student body.

Cruz Llamas a junior who is nominated for Homecoming court is excited because it gives him a chance to rebound from his procrastination.  “Personally it’s nice because I haven’t bought anything to wear, so it gives me an opportunity to go and find an outfit that I would like to wear.”

Junior Haylie Juhl who is also in the running for a position on Homecoming court said, “It takes some stress off of me because then that gives me a lot of time to get ready for halftime when the winner is named, but in regards to the dance itself it really doesn’t impact it.”

Lastly, the football game is Friday night and the football team has had school every game day that they have had this year. Sophomore quarterback Aaron Rojas gave his opinion on not having school on a game day. “It might be a little weird because you won’t have to wake up and go to school I’ll get to wake up and eat a breakfast and do what I want until I have to go to the field but for the most part it shouldn’t be a huge difference,” Rojas said
