As the clock ticked down on Thursday’s homeroom period, students were called to the gym in order to embrace the fantastic dance that was prepared for the Halloween celebration.

The gathering was different from the previous assemblies in that it was only meant for the dance. Students had to sit in combinations of all levels. The music was played on and students payed attention to it.

They performed a tremendous dance to the Michael Jackson song “Thriller,” including new choreography that West students had never performed before.

Dancer Cierra Gonzales was asked about the time and effort that was put in. “Well we started practicing in early September and just had our last practice on Tuesday, but it was hard because the dance was totally changed from the past couple of years.”
After the dance ended, students gave their applause and returned to class.
