The Greeley West boys swimming team completed the 5A State Swim Meet and completed its best meet in school history.  In addition to placing 11th as a team (the highest the Spartans have ever placed), CHSAA announced the 5A coach of the year as Mr. Collin Shaha.

Junior Nate Kenigsburg stated, “It was fun to be there and swim well in prelims. Even though we didn’t perform nearly as well as we could have in finals it was a good learning experience.” Kenigsburg continued, “It’s always fun a fun way to end the season on the big stage.”

Kenigsburg finished eighth in the 200 free.  He also finished seventh in the 500 free.

Kenigsburg was one of many swimmers representing Qest at the state meet. Kenigsburg competed in two different races. The West swim team is young and looking forward to next season.

“As a senior I should definitely have a better chance to place top 3 in both of my individual races,”  Kenigsburg stated.
