Testing season comes early this year

Last week, the freshman and sophomores took two tests to evaluate their math and English skills. The tests were during third hour on Wednesday and Thursday. During that time, the juniors and seniors had an extended homeroom and third hour.

Sophomore Analicia Hernandez said she’d never done a test like this one before but she felt her scores were good. She feels like the test will prepare her and make her aware of things like this in the future.

Hernandez didn’t really think they were important but she said that they were easy and that it brought back certain skills. She took about 40 minutes for both tests and felt that her scores were good.

Freshman Nathaniel Rudolph took the entire period and liked how as the test progressed, it made the questions more challenging. He felt some of his scores were good and had strengths and weaknesses. He thought they were kind of important for everyone else to see their score, not really for yourself.

“The test could potentially help me in the future so I could reflect on it through the year,” said Rudolph.
