New Fortnite feels the same as old Fortnite

The video game Fortnite has been very popular over the past two years. Millions of people play it around the world.   Gamers everywhere are familiar with the distribution of the game:  every 10 weeks, Fortnite would release a new “season.”  Each season, numbered 1-10 included new features and maps.

Everybody thought that Season 11 would be released soon, but then Fortnite disappeared, leaving gamers with a black hole image on their TV screens.  Was this the end of Fortnite? Could this be over? Will 10-year olds finally see daylight again?

Eventually, Epics Games – the producer and creators of Fortnite – release what they’re calling “Chapter 2”  Chapter 2 featured many of the same changes, but left gamers disappointed.  Alexis Chavez, someone who used to play Fortnite daily, is not impressed about this whole new upgrade.  “For us OG’s we don’t like the new Fortnite. It’s too much going on in chapter 2,” Chavez said.

Chavez’s complains are being heard around the country.  People just think too much changed.

Around 61 percent of teens in the United States play Fortnite. You may think Fortnite will lead you to a boring life, but if you’re talented enough it could even be your career. For example, players like Ninja make thousands of dollars each month.
